We are blessed and thankful to have as
our spiritual leader and pastor Rev. Dr. Sherryl Matlock. Rev.
Dr. Sherryl Matlock was appointed by Bishop Gregory G. M.
Ingram, Tenth Episcopal District Prelate, on November 13th,
2010 as the first female to lead our 140 year old historic
institution. Also on our ministerial staff is Rev.
Merrell Johnson (Presiding Elder Emeritus) and Rev. Mae H.
Smith (Local Elder.
At Historic Allen Chapel we invoke the
visitation of the Holy Spirit at all times. Therefore, our
Worship Services are Bible based and Holy Ghost filled.
We are a God loving yet God fearing people.
Historic Allen Chapel is a proud
member of the
Greater Fort Worth
District and the
African Methodist
